The program will start on May 2011
One of the great strengths of the MIP MBA program is that we are part of Politecnico di Milano — the premier institute of science, technology, and management in Italy. The school was born in 1979 as an alliance between the Politecnico di Milano and some of the leading companies and institutions operating in Italy. Its International MBA attracts students from Europe, Asia, North and Latin Americas every year. The school has been EQUIS accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) since 2007. The engineering tradition and technology leadership of Politecnico di Milano allows MIP to have access to the up-and-coming technology and to play a key role in innovation. This allows MIP to be at the forefront of company growth and technological investment. The MBA program is a 14 month full-time program, taught in English by Politecnico di Milano professors as well as a vast faculty from around the world. Past professors have come from institutions such as Harvard Business School, MIT, Boston, University of Leuven and Arizona State University etc. The MBA program provides the special mix of technical and management skills required to develop and lead world class companies in operations and manufacturing. It is also a leader in the topics of design and luxury management. The program is composed of a classroom chapter (11 months) and a full-time working project (3 months). Career Service & Personal Development activities take place along the whole program supporting individual and group development: in field activities (Organizational Check Up, Business Plan, and Business Game) and real consulting projects within companies, consulting firms or banks. Each student will work alone in a project chosen from several options tailored to his/her needs. Unlike an internship, the Project Work will be provided by Career Service, supervised by a tutor inside the school and result in a job offer half of the times.
MIP Career Service is one-of-a-kind and gives students the unique opportunity to work alongside key-stakeholders within important organizations and challenge themselves is real-life business situations. Support for students continues throughout the program and even after its completion as we provide assistance during the recruitment process. Our Career Service team works to develop and improve individual student characteristics through professional orientation interviews, evaluation of individual student’s skills, and personalized counseling. Furthermore, we engage in business development activities with potential recruiters in order to bring the participants into frequent contact with potential employers. Throughout the year, we support companies in their search for candidates with the skills and aptitudes most suited to the professional positions available. It is part of our Career Service mission to increase the number of internships and job opportunities available to students.
Carnet - the Business Schools Careers Network MIP recently became a member of Carnet, a careers network formed by an alliance of 11 top European business schools. The careers services of the Carnet schools work together to share best practice, provide networking opportunities for students and a portal for employers wishing to recruit MBA and postgraduate students.
